An entire family comes of age during the early 1970s. Set in Shaker Heights, Ohio in the 1970's, younger brother William (Davern) envies, emulates, and idolizes his brother Clive (Call). When Clive's mysterious girlfriend Sandra (Trachtenberg) seeks hidden shelter in the Messerman's basement, William finds himself beginning to fall for her. When Clive begins creating a language and sharing it only with his best friend, getting into trouble and questioning his parents' lives, William's world starts to shatter.

Chad Lowe (Debut Director) and Michelle Trachtenberg (Breakthrough Performer) were both awarded Special Jury Prizes at the 2007 Sarasota Film Festival
