(August
14, 2012) George Michael has unveiled the B-side for his
new single 'White Light'.
The
singer has re-worked Tim Buckley's 'Song to the Siren',
which featured on the late rocker's album 'Starsailor'
in 1970. The song will feature on Michael's 'White Light'
EP, which is out on August 5. The collection also includes
two 'White Light' remixes by Voodoo Sonics and Kinky Roland.
'Song
to the Siren' has been covered numerous times by a number
of artists and became popular after Buckley's untimely
death in 1975 at the age of 28. Michael had previously
released a live
version.
Michael
confessed that he was "nervous" ahead of his
performance at the Olympics closing ceremony, when he
performed 'White Light' as well as his 1990 hit 'Freedom'.
