Led
Zeppelin's Robert Plant is celebrating the launch of the
second season of his popular podcast Digging Deep by announcing
a limited-edition vinyl box set.
The
package, coming on December 13, is also called Digging
Deep, and features eight seven-inch singles. The Digging
Deep collection includes a total of 16 tracks, with two
songs apiece taken from the first eight of Plant's post-Zeppelin
solo studio albums.
Among
the songs are such rock radio hits as "Burning Down One
Side," "Big Log," "In the Mood," "Little by Little," "Ship
of Fools," "Tall Cool One," "Hurting Kind," "Calling to
You," "29 Palms" and "Shine It All Around," as well as
a cover of Tim Buckley's "Song to the Siren."
The
eight discs are housed in a hardback book, with restored
artwork from the original singles' packaging. You can
pre-order the box set now.
Plant
discusses some songs featured in the collection in the
latest season of his Digging Deep podcast, the first episode
of which debuted on Sunday, September 29. Five more episodes
will be available in the coming weeks.
