Despite only producing one studio album before his death
at age 30, Jeff Buckley became legendary in Australia
and France. His father Tim Buckley could have become one
of the greatest singer songwriters on the 70s but his
life ended at age 28.
“A State Of Grace: The Music Of Tim and Jeff Buckley”
will capture the songs of the Buckley’s as performed by
Martha Wainwright, Willy Mason, Steve Kilbey, Camille
O’Sullivan, Casper Clousen and Cold Specks. Gary Lucas,
who worked with Jeff Buckley and co-wrote the songs ‘Grace’
and ‘Mojo Pin’ will be the musical director of the Australian
event.
“The music of Jeff and Tim Buckley is timeless and gracefully
transcendental,” said Gary Lucas. “It lives forever in
the hearts of those who have been touched by it. And it
will continue to reverberate around the globe and seduce
new listeners.”
“A State Of Grace: The Music Of Tim and Jeff Buckley”
will have its world premiere at the Melbourne Recital
Centre in September.The
