FLYNPISCES> Hey there!
.Jzero1> Bob's delayed for some reason
.Jzero1> Do you have your coffee with you Mary?
FLYNPISCES> I'm all set.
FLYNPISCES> Hey, Cloud Tiger!
.Jzero1> If Bob continues to have trouble then I'll ask the questions until he gets here
FLYNPISCES> lol! OK.
.Jzero1> Hi Cloudy
CLOUDTIGER> HI
CLOUDTIGER> Our server is VERY busy tonight!
CLOUDTIGER> So that's why I'm a bit late
FLYNPISCES> I've only just arrived, myself.
.Jzero1> I had a feeling that might cause a slight problem
.Jzero1> Are you already exhausted from your busy day, Mary
FLYNPISCES> No, I'm fine.
.Jzero1> Did I tell you that I got a nice email from Suzanne, the young lady who runs the Tim Buckley Archives
CELTICRAY> That's a good page
.Jzero1> Shall we begin, Mary
FLYNPISCES> Sure.
.Jzero1> OK, here we go
.Jzero1> Can you tell us when and where you and Tim were married?
FLYNPISCES> We were married in Anaheim at St. Michael's Episcopal Church.
FLYNPISCES> October of '65
.Jzero1> These questions were prepared by Bob Niemi who apparently is having trouble getting online
.Jzero1> What did your parents think of Tim
** LORCA just joined "ROOM 109, PLEASANT STREET"
FLYNPISCES> lol! They thought he was a "bad" influence...
LORCA> Hi Jack--had trouble getting on... Bob
.Jzero1> What was your impression of Tim's relationship with his parents
.Jzero1> Hi Bob
FLYNPISCES> Tim adored his mother, a very sweet woman. They were very close.
FLYNPISCES> His father was another story - sort of love/hate thing, Mr. Buckley was a fearful guy to be around, sometimes.
.Jzero1> Why don't you take over Bob...Ladies and Gentlemen ...Bob Niemi
FLYNPISCES> Hi, Bob.
LORCA> Thanks, Jack. Hi Mary. Sorry I had a lot of technical glitches
FLYNPISCES> Where were we?
LORCA> O.k. I'll start--Hope I'm not going over ground Jack already covered...
LORCA> What was Tim's home life like?
FLYNPISCES> Tim was working full time and going to school full time - he helped his mother with the bills.
LORCA> Where did he work?
FLYNPISCES> His father was in and out of work and spent some time in the hospital. He was sometimes a night watchman.
LORCA> Why was he hospitalized?
FLYNPISCES> He was a Korean war veteran, suffered from what we now call post traumatic stress disorder -
FLYNPISCES> Head injury changed him for life.
LORCA> I thought he was in WWII
FLYNPISCES> He alwasy talked about the Korean war and how he had to kill people with his bare hands and such-eery stuff.
LORCA> Did he drink?
FLYNPISCES> He was one of the "Screaming Eagles" commando fighters. He didn't drink around me, that I knew of.
FLYNPISCES> We didn't spend much time visiting with him...We pretty much stayed away from home as much as possible.
LORCA> 82nd Airborne Div. right?
FLYNPISCES> I don't remember, that sounds right.
LORCA> Was he big physically?
FLYNPISCES> Yes - a large man.
LORCA> Did Tim's mother work outside the home?
FLYNPISCES> Oh, yes, I don't remember exactly where she worked, but I'm pretty sure it was secretarial.
LORCA> Jack may have asked this already but do you remember where they lived?
FLYNPISCES> In Anaheim?
LORCA> Yes
FLYNPISCES> Near the high school, actually.
LORCA> What was their house like?
FLYNPISCES> A nice house, middle class neighborhood. Always clean and neat.
LORCA> Did Tim have his own room?
FLYNPISCES> Yes.
LORCA> Did he have hobbies?
FLYNPISCES> Not really - he was totally into music when I met him.
LORCA> Did you know him when the family lived in Bell Gardens?
FLYNPISCES> No. That was just before they moved to Anaheim. But we used to go there to visit his friends.
LORCA> Who were they? What were they like?
FLYNPISCES> Mostly Dan Gordon - everyone played guitar - we always were singing something together.
FLYNPISCES> We had a place we called "two tables"...
LORCA> What kind of student was Tim in h.s.?
FLYNPISCES> a little joint Dan Gordon rented so we could put on shows.
FLYNPISCES> Average.
LORCA> Was "two tables" a private hangout?
FLYNPISCES> It was a room where a pool hall owner stored his extra two pool tables - hence the name,
LORCA> ah huh
FLYNPISCES> We had to arrange the chairs around the two tables.
LORCA> I see...
LORCA> What was your take on Dan Gordon?
FLYNPISCES> Nice guy - grew up to be a brilliant screenwriter and movie producer. That's another story.
FLYNPISCES> He & Tim remained friends until the end.
LORCA> Was Larry Beckett on the scene at this time?
FLYNPISCES> Oh, yes, he & Tim were inseperable in High School.
FLYNPISCES> We were a threesome most of the time.
LORCA> Did you hang out a lot with both guys?
FLYNPISCES> Sure - a lot. It was great fun being with them. Lots of laughs.
